As a breeder of Golden Retrievers, it is our hope is to raise puppies
who will go on to do a wide scope of things
with the talents this breed is known for.
Welcome to our Dream of Doing Life with the Talented, Versatile Golden Retriever
Choosing the right breeder of your new pet puppy is the most important choice you will make for yourself and your new addition.
As a Golden Retriever breeder in Arkansas, it is our hope to raise Goldens to be successful in AKC exhibitions. Our dogs compete in show conformation, hunt tests and field trials, rally, and also events like dock diving and lure coursing. We do this as a way for us to enjoy our dogs and celebrate their achievements as a family. We specialize in beautiful versatile Goldens with gentle dispositions as house companions, hunting, therapy, or service work.
Each of our pairings are made with set goals, and we would be happy give you information on our genetic and phenotype projects. We want to raise versatile Goldens with the charming and classic devoted personality this breed is recognized for. We are dedicated to our dogs and to our growing extended family of puppy owners who can definitely profess “My Dog has a Heart of Gold.”
We are working towards different goals including lines that are: successful therapy and service prospects, beautiful show, obedience, and hunting prospects. Of course all the while having Golden Retrievers centered around being a great companion dogs. Our role as a breeder is to make healthy selections with good longevities. We also raise our puppies to develop well adjusted and balanced temperament through numerous imprinting and socializing activities.
Depending on pedigree, they will have strong lines offering specific strengths based on their genes. With any cross we focus on the character and health of our dogs. This is such a gifted breed. They have many talents- of course the best being the love they give to us everyday unconditionally.
The first project we have are with the AKC show style modeled towards the GRCA standard for Goldens. They have beautifully long coats and huge hearts to make their family happy. They are usually good retrievers and make excellent family companions. Many of these puppies make excellent working prospects as well.
Our next line is focused on our imported lines. We have Goldens from many different countries to increase our gene pool here in the States. Also we have been working towards service and therapy selection frequently with our Goldens. Also our dogs from these pedigree have went on get their CCAs (conformation certifcates), get Akc titles in areas like lure coursing, compete in hunt tests, and also been shown in AKC conformation at the National Speciality level. Our imported lines range in color from rich golden to even in the cream and lightest shade of golden possible with this breed. We have selected these dogs to have an activity level so they would be suitable for TDI and service dog work. We have puppies who have went into training for PTSD, diabetes alert, stability dogs, police search and rescue, wheel chair assistant dogs, narcolepsy alert, and for comfort service dogs for owners with Autism and Aspergers. Our role is to raise a puppy and help match prospects to be successful based on the need of the owner. We do not do the training, but can recommend trainers and organizations to you. I personally also like blending these lines with other American pedigrees for a low inbreeding coef and sometimes pedigrees can compliment each other very well.
Being inspired by the initial purpose of the breed, we have field-lined goldens with aspirations towards hunt tests and field trials. These lines are often the darkest color of gold or red colored. Our field goldens are smaller in size and bred to be athletes. They have a high intellect and need to be challenged to meet their activity level. These lines are for the serious hunter or someone wanting an active competition Golden. They are excellent retrievers. Field puppies are worked with feathers and birds to build prey drive and confidence early on.
We are fortunate to have some treasured Golden Retriever bloodlines both Nationally and Internationally as the foundation for our breeding program. We compete in AKC, UKC and IABCA events to showcase and enjoy these programs with our dogs. Our retrievers have exceptional personalities, loving hearts, certified health records (hips, elbows, eyes, heart and DNA testings), and high trainability.
With each pairing we make, we begin with extensive background checks on our crosses of health certifications and achievements in the ring. The care for the growing goldens begins the prenatal care of the mother. Our puppies are raised as our own family until they join yours. Since we work early in the puppy’s life to model and train housebreaking skills, we expect a puppy from us to be enjoyed as both an indoor and outdoor companion in their new family. We do early neurological stimulation, puppy culture techniques, use avidog boxes, and also do volhard temperament tests on every puppy after microchipping.
Our puppies are all family oriented, well-socialized, and have the makings of the Golden standards to their type. When we have a litter it is an event, and everything in our day and night revolves around them. We plan and prepare for these crosses well in advance. Puppies are offered as pets to owner’s looking to spend the next decade plus feeling the endless abundance of love only a Golden Retriever can give so unconditionally.
Our philosophy is that the only reason anyone should breed a dog is to work towards improving each generation through selective breeding. If you are looking for any type of dog please go to your local animal shelter, there are many lives that need homes there.
